2010 Wild South Sauvignon Blanc
Winemakers Note A wine with lots on offer. Lifted tropical aromas of rockmelon and guava are complexed with notes of soft banana esters. Melodins, mandarin and passionfruit pulp blend to give a hint of sweetness which enhances the long lingering finish.
Vintage Summary Marlborough has come up trumps this year with intensely flavoured Sauvignon Blanc, spicy Pinot Gris, zingy Riesling and lovely ripe and rich Pinot Noir. Our tanks are brimming with vibrant wines that will hold Marlborough’s position as one of the great wine regions of the world. Lower yields certainly intensified flavours, and the overall cooler season meant varietal intensity was ensured. The long dry autumn allowed a steady flow with no stress points from any rain events, a luxury vintage indeed!
Vinification Low temperatures and aromatic yeasts were used to capture the intense varietal characters of this wine.

2010 Wild South Pinot Gris
Winemakers Note Heady aromas of red apple and banana passionfruit are wrapped in soft notes of wild honey and ripe pear. A fine acid structure wrapped in soft oily ribbons gives perfect balance. Warm flavours of peach and lychee gently tossed in melted butter mingle with banana esters to give a long luscious finish.
Vintage Summary After the very wet winter of 2008 everyone was keen to switch their gumboots for jandals & enjoy a long dry summer & autumn that is historically typical of Marlborough. While harvesting was not hindered by rain at all, summer was cooler than most years which meant some vineyards took longer to kick into ripening than others. This resulted in a broad spectrum of quality fruit coming in from all over the region. The results of this vintage will be well worth waiting for.
Vinification Small batches were fermented at warmer that normal temperatures with aromatic yeast and lees stirring to give lift and texture.
Appearance Pale yellow Cellaring 3-4 years Alcohol 14.0% RS 7.31g/L TA 6.6g/L Ph 3.57

Luscious notes of ripe pear, orange peel and grapefruit give incredible intensity.
